4th of July Weekend

As a family, we really do not do a lot to celebrate the 4th of July. We are incredibly thankful for our freedom and our country and those in our family and throughout the nation that have served or are serving our country to ensure us those freedoms. We, as a whole, do not like crowds or heat, so we try to go to those places were we can avoid crowds and heat enabling us to just spend time as a family.

On Saturday, July 2nd, we headed up to a local wildlife management/camping area called Tex Creek. We LOVE it up there. With it being a holiday weekend, we did have to "share" it, but the area is so green and peaceful. While there, we built a campfire and roasted hot dogs and just enjoyed a few hours of family time without electronic devices and other interruptions.
On Monday, July 4th, we headed up to Rexburg and spent the day with our friend Niki and her family at their "private" family campsite/farm. It was a wonderful day! I am so happy that we finally took her up on their invite to join them. It was a very relaxing, peaceful, and fun day.

Yesterday, July 8th, we headed up to another local recreation area called Kelley Canyon with the ATV. This picture is "post-worthy" because it was Ryan's very first ATV ride at 3 months old. The ride probably would've happened sooner, but we haven't had a chance to head out to the trails yet.So, that has been our July so far. We are all very excited for the Summer.
